Zero Proof Designs, LLC, doing business as Zero Proof Design ("we," "us," "our"), is a small handmade woodworking shop in Chatsworth, California. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit zeroproofdesign.com or buy from us, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
Information you give us: your name, email address, phone number, shipping and billing address, order details, engraving or custom-order text, and anything you send through our contact form or by email.
Payment information: payments are processed through Squarespace by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
Information collected automatically: like most websites, our site uses cookies and similar tools to collect your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and how you arrived at our site. This helps the site work and shows us which pages people find useful.

To answer your questions and custom-project requests
To send order updates, and marketing emails only if you sign up (you can unsubscribe anytime using the link in any email)
To improve our website and products, and to prevent fraud
Who we share it with
We share information only with companies that help us run the business, and only what they need:
Squarespace (website, checkout, email campaigns, and analytics)
Stripe (payment processing)
Shipping carriers such as USPS, UPS, or FedEx (your name and address for delivery)
Our accountant and tax filings, as required by law
Law enforcement or others, if required by law or to protect our rights
We do not sell your personal information.
Third-party content, links, and advertising
Our homepage shows an Instagram feed. Instagram (Meta) may set its own cookies when that content loads.
Some blog posts contain affiliate links. If you click one, that company may track the visit so we can earn a commission.
If we advertise on Google or Meta, those companies may use cookies to measure ad results and may collect information about your activity across websites over time.
Purchases made on our Etsy shop are also covered by Etsy's own privacy policy.
These companies' privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
Do Not Track
Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. There is no common standard for responding to it, so our site does not currently change its behavior when it receives one. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site may not work fully without them.
How long we keep it
We keep order and tax records for as long as the law requires (generally up to 7 years). We keep email-list information until you unsubscribe.
Security
We use reputable platforms with industry-standard security. No method of transmitting or storing data is 100% secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to tell you what personal information we have about you, correct it, or delete it (except what we must keep for tax and legal reasons). Email us at the address below and we'll respond within 30 days.
Children
Our site is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll post the new version on this page with a new effective date.
